This Millersburg PA custom deck installation was an exciting project from start to finish! The Straubs’ vision was to have a deck with a concrete patio go the entire length of their house. Their vision was to have easy access to both the deck and the patio from multiple locations, so they can entertain large or small groups of friends and family, or simply enjoy a large outdoor area by themselves. They are extremely happy with their new Dream Outdoor Living Space, and they love the seamless transition from indoors to outdoors.
The Half Moon area with the fire pit and the stamped concrete patio are their favorite areas of their new deck. With the under decking installed, it gives them shade on hot sunny days. They love sitting out on their concrete patio when it is raining, and with the under decking, it enables them to sit outside and enjoy nature while staying dry. They are very pleased with the lighting and love the fact that the lighting is dimmable and can be adjusted to give their entire deck and patio a moody, romantic look and feel. They believe the lighting was the best investment of the entire project. They also love the railing bar on the top deck. It sets the stage for casual dining and casual drinks, whether it is a hot cup of coffee in the morning or a nice cold drink at night. It also gives them the option to grab their dinner plates in the evening and head out to the bar for a great time to reflect on their day while enjoying the scenery on the backside of their property, and watch wildlife such as deer, turkey, etc. move around in the wooded area behind their Dream Outdoor Living Space.
